Rapid Food System Assessment in Palestine

Repository of the relevant literature and datasets pertinent to Palestinian food system

The Food System Assessment (FSA) is an interactive process whereby stakeholders exchange on strategic issues. In Palestine, the assessment is consistent with and has built on the previous analyses and with the existing strategy and investment framework to deepen the understanding of specific aspects of the food system and inform the Government, development partners and private sector investment decision making process. In the specific case of Palestine, where the whole economy is hampered by the occupation – especially in the agri-food system that also suffers most of land fragmentation, the ultimate goal of the FSA is to identify current and future sustainability challenges and guide the transformation towards supply chain consolidation, greater resource use efficiency, employment creation, income generation, and removal of unbalances in share of profits within the value chains. This repository includes all the literature and datasets pertinent to the food systems dimensions in Palestine.
